Apistogramma

Our apistos are acclimated to neutral water, which makes the acclimation period a bit easier for hard water and/or high pH regions.

We feed them a mixture of flake and live food (blackworms and brine shimp), so they'll eat what is available in anyone's area. Although you may notice more energy and vibrant color with live food, Apistogramma can still live happy, healthy lives eating flake food.

They flourish in well-planted tanks and make a great addition to almost any peaceful community tank. Although they are territorial amongst themselves, Apistos will not attack tankmates with any ferocity. And if the tank is large enough and well planted, aggression is typically minimal.

We are stocked up with brand new tank-raised apistogramma. Please check out our current apistogramma list.
